Quinto Neo laser hair removal system typically utilize a combination of multiple wavelengths to target
different layers of the skin and hair follicles effectively. This system is made up of 5 different
wavelengths, designed to be versatile, providing treatment for a wide range of skin types and hair
colors.
Wavelengths:
These multiple wavelengths allow the Quinto Neo System to target hair at various depths, making
them effective for a wide range of hair types and skin tones, from darker to lighter skin, and fine to
coarse hair.
650nm (Diod Laser):
The 650nm wavelength is often used in Ruby lasers, which were one of the first lasers used for hair
removal. It is effective for fair skin and dark hair, as it is highly absorbed by melanin.
755nm (Alexandrite Laser):
Effective for targeting superficial hair follicles and works best on light to medium skin tones. It is highly
absorbed by melanin, making it effective for light to dark hair. This wavelength is often used in hair
removal treatments because of its relatively shallow skin penetration and high melanin absorption.
810nm (Diod Laser):
This wavelength if effective for medium to dark skin tones and is known for its deeper tissue
penetration compared to 755 nm wavelength. It is one of the most commonly used wavelengths in
laser hair removal because it can target both the hair follicle and surrounding tissue effectively,
making it versatile for different hair types and skin tones.
940nm (Diod Laser):
This wavelength is in the near-infrared spectrum, offering a balance between tissue penetration and
selective targeting of hair follicles. It is effective for medium to coarse hair on light to medium skin
tones. It provides moderate skin penetration and targets melanin well, making it safer for darker skin
tones compared to shorter wavelengths. However, it’s less effective on fine or light-colored hair.
1064nm (Long pulse Nd:YAG laser):
The 1064nm wavelength is ideal for darker skin tones and deeper hair follicles due to its deeper
penetration into the skin. It is also less absorbed by melanin in the skin, which makes it safer for
individuals with higher melanin content (i.e., darker skin tones). This wavelength is often used for
more deeply rooted hair and for treating areas with thicker skin.
